Pancakes
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
- 2 Tablespoons butter melted
- 3 Tablespoons sugar
Instructions
In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a small bowl, combine egg and buttermilk. Whisk together until blended. Add to flour mixture, stirring
only until smooth. Add melted butter and sugar to batter and whisk until combined.
Heat a griddle or nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Grease griddle with cooking
spray or butter. Drop 1/4 cup batter on pan and spread into a 5-inch circle. Cook until
bubbles begin to form on surface and edges begin to brown. Gently flip and continue to brown other side.
Repeat with remaining batter.
Serve with butter and warm syrup. Enjoy!
French Toast
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 slices challah, brioche, or white bread
- 1/2 cup maple syrup, warmed
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar and set aside briefly.
In a 10-inch or 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Whisk together cinnamon mixture, eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour into a shallow container such as a pie plate.
Dip bread in egg mixture. Fry slices until golden brown, then flip to cook the other side. Serve with syrup.
Waffles
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 2 Large Eggs Separated
- 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 2 Cups Milk
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
Preheat your waffle iron, spray with non stick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
In a medium bowl beat the egg whites with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In a separate medium bowl mix together the egg yolks, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.
Add the egg yolk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Fold in the egg whites.
Pour the batter onto your hot waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's directions**
Serve immediately with butter, syrup, powdered sugar or any other favorite toppings.
